SRT8 Powered Jeeps Sound Mean!

20 12 2008

I’ve always been a fan of Jeeps. I don’t care what say; sure, some of them are unreliable and sometimes they’re a little overpriced for what you get, but when they work, they are a thing of beauty. Whether you’re rock crawling or running the drag strip, Jeeps know how to get places fast. The SRT-8 Jeep Cherokees are good proof; 0-60 in five seconds running a quarter mile in 14′s. I don’t care how you slice it, that’s quick! Here’s a short vid of an SRT-8 Cherokee with an intake and Jet Chip module set to stage 2.

Sky High Jet PCM Reviews

Jeffrey O. – 1997 Jeep Wrangler (Knoxville,TN)

“Had already installed Airaid throttle body spacer, free flow air intake, Acel Super Coil and 8mm plug wires along with Bosch Platium Plus4 plugs which had improved preformance and gas mileage in my 97 Jeep Wrangler SE with a underpowerd, overworked 2.5 4 cylinder. In less than 15 minutes that it took to install the JetPreformance Module #90017, which is the basic chip, I could tell when I turned the switch we had hit paydirt, fired instantly, ran smoother. TEST DRIVE Got in, put it in reverse and it backed itself out of the drive, put it in drive and could tell with the first gear shift, mission accomplished. Now the Jeep drives with less effort, shifts with less strain, accellerates quicker and gets about 2 mpg better milage over what the prior upgrades had accomplished. I almost wished now that I had stepped up to the stage II chip and some where down the road may do that.”

Tracy M. – 1997 Dodge Ram (Madison,WI)

“The performance chip is everything that I read about before I purchased it. I am very happy with the results and installation was literally less than 5 minutes! Thanks again!”

Jorge R. – 2008 GMC Sierra (Miramar,FL)

“Installed it with a K&N 77 Cold Air Intake and a Jet Power-Flow Mass Air Sensor and saw incredible jumps in power and gas efficiency. Will recomend to everyone, especially with todays gas prices.”

Doug D. – 1998 Ford F150 (Slidell,LA)

“Much more power and saved some gas.Pretty f#**’n cool.I would buy this product if you’re looking 4 a lil more horse.”

Ryan M. – 1999 Ford Contour (Antelope,CA)

“I have never really believed that chips could due much to your car, but I was impressed with the results right away. The installation was very simple, and for the amount of power it was worth it. It is the only mod I have done so far and it was a good place to start. For me the difference in feel was like adding an aluminum intake to my 305 chevy. Its a very good buy. As for AutoAnything they were more efficient at getting the product to me that summit racing so I decided to go with them. I’m not one to trust websites out of the main stream like Summit, and Jegs, but these are good trust worthy guys.”

Daniel R. – 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee (Alameda,CA)

“Smoother acceleration, but no difference in fuel economy.”

Steven H. – 2001 Ford Explorer (Castle Hayne,NC)

“Since this is an all-wheel drive Explorer(2001) and hard to chassis dyno. The seat of the pants dyno tells me the 5.0 V8 is producing at least 10 more horsepower with just the chip installed. This added with a cold air kit and a true cat back dual exhaust with a flowmaster dual-in/dual-out X crossover muffler, has given me I feel at least 30 more HP. This Explorer will now run right with my 91 LX Mustang that the only mod is removal of the air silencer. I also went from 300 miles on a tank of gas to 375!!! An increase of 4-5 MPG!!!”

Thomas L. – 2004 Chevy Cavalier (Phoenix,AZ)

“Although my ’04 Cavalier isn’t out to break any world records anytime soon, after installing my Jet Performance Module I can feel the difference. One word of advice, probably more for the GM 2.2L & 2.4L crowd, the installation instructions where a bit vague with where and how the connections where to be made. But after successfully having it all installed with a big dose of time and patience, there is a noticeable seat of the pants push (not plastering you to the seat mind you) & with a quicker climb of the speedo. After all is said and done, it really feels as though my car is running smoother and better than before, along with returning better fuel economy. All in all, and simple enhancement to any vehicle.”

“I did a stage 2 Jet Chip and Lighter / Smaller Harmonic Balancer on my 03 D (4.7l, Non HEMI Durango) and noticed together a great improvement. I’m thinking of doing this again for my 05 Durango with the Jet Chip (stage 1 this time) as the MotoBlue Harmonic balancer both available at RMPoutlet.com. Everything out the door with a smaller belt is $500, and with an advertised peak HP / Tq Gain of +30 it seems very attractive. Given the HEMI’s AWD anemic RWHP (258 is what I hear) I figure this is worth a shot, espeically given both upgrades are very much bolt on’s.”

“i have no complaints . from the moment i install it i felt the difference . i do not think it has the Hp they say but it will change specialty at MID to WOT . about gas mileage i do not know . i have never look at MPG sense i got it . around town i stomp on the gas to much and on the hwy i am going to fast to.”

Round 1: Jet Powertrain Control Module Reviews

5 09 2008

“It took all of 5 seconds to insall. Not only did it improve acceleration it also seemed to make the transmission shift better. All in all I think it was worth what I payed for it.”

“2006 PT Cruiser – PCModule doesn’t install easily. I had to alter by trimming the outer edge off, in order to install it. Brake reservoir doesn’t allow for easy install. Pins on the module bent during the difficult install. Check engine light came on which indicated there was a problem with the install. There also wasn’t specific instructions for the PT Cruiser installation. Once I finally got everything installed properly, performance has improved greatly – 15 to 20 percent gain in gas mileage. PCModule will pay for itself with the gas savings alone. Also, switched out plugs to Bosch Platinums, which also enhanced performance greatly.”

“took about 30 minutes to install due to the tight fit (you werent kidding). I feel a noticeable jump in acceleration and power. Great addition to my vehicle! Well worth the investment!”
