Jet Performance Module ROCKS

When we’re not going on and on about food or other completely unrelated news, the topic most covered here at the Jet Fan Site is the most popular Jet part numbers. That’s all well and good if you’re hungry or you drive a late model Dodge Ram. But what about the rest of you?

It took some digging, but we may have uncovered one the least popular Jet Chip part number—the Jet Performance Module 78601. Now, the nascent popularity isn’t due to quality or bad tuning, not at all. It’s just that part # 78601 is for a 1986 Mercury Cougar with an automatic tranny and that 5.0L V8 . Yeah, that one, the clunky old Blue Oval 302 with 150 horsepower.

So, if you’re one of the lucky few to still be riding this 24 year old sled, check out Jet # 78601 and put some growl back into that old Cougar.

This week’s post comes to you under extreme duress, as the entire crew here at the Jet Chip fan site are sick—all of us. So I, being the ram rod of this damn project, had to step up and crank out a post.

I was having a hard time finding something to write about, but being sick reminded me of one of my most cherished childhood foods to eat while staying home sick from school—the fried peanut butter and marshmallow cream sandwich.

And since the best marshmallow cream is Kraft Jet-Puffed marshmallow cream, I thought hey, there’s the Jet connection. So here it is; the Fried Peanut Butter & Jet-Chip Marshmallow Cream Sandwich.

Ingredients:

1 egg

1/4 cup milk

2 slices bread (your favorite type, we prefer sourdough)

Peanut Butter (your favorite type, we prefer Peter Pan Crunchy)

Kraft Jet-Puffed marshmallow cream

Pad o’ butter

Preparation:

Mix the egg and milk in a shallow dish. Heat a small pan on medium and add the butter. Make your usual sandwich with the bread, PB & marshmallow cream. Dip the sandwich into the milk/egg mixture and toss it into the hot pan. Grill on each side until brown and crunchy. Remove from the pan and put it on your plate. If you’re feeling especially decadent, top with maple, or even better, chocolate syrup.

A couple weeks ago we reported on the top-selling Jet product, the Jet Power-Flow Mass Air Sensor. Now, when we conducted our pole to find this out, the entire Jet Fan Site staff was blown away with the results. We all thought the number-one seller would be a Jet Performance Chip, of course.

So, we decided to conduct another pole—again with an unnamed retailer—to find out which Jet Performance Chip is the number-one seller. And, the winner is—drum roll please….

The Jet Performance Module 90402!

What that means is there are a lot of 4.7L Dodge mills cranking out about 25 extra ponies as we speak.

It’s a slow news day here at the Jet Fan site. Plus, it’s Friday, spring is in the air and the staff is itching to get the hell out of this self-storage facility we call “office space.”
