What do Jet Performance Chips also work with?

5 12 2010

Here are a few top product ideas that you can get with a Jet Chip. These are the winners from a recent poll we ran:

Mercury Cougar-town, Circa 1986

29 04 2010

When we’re not going on and on about food or other completely unrelated news, the topic most covered here at the Jet Fan Site is the most popular Jet part numbers. That’s all well and good if you’re hungry or you drive a late model Dodge Ram. But what about the rest of you?

It took some digging, but we may have uncovered one the least popular Jet Chip part number—the Jet Performance Module 78601. Now, the nascent popularity isn’t due to quality or bad tuning, not at all. It’s just that part # 78601 is for a 1986 Mercury Cougar with an automatic tranny and that 5.0L V8 . Yeah, that one, the clunky old Blue Oval 302 with 150 horsepower.

So, if you’re one of the lucky few to still be riding this 24 year old sled, check out Jet # 78601 and put some growl back into that old Cougar.

Jet Chip Dyno Sheets

11 02 2010

Ever wonder how your vehicle would respond if you installed a Jet Chip under the hood? You know for a fact that it’s gonna do something, but just how much can be a mystery—until now. Jet now has a page on their site called, of all things, “Dyno Sheets.” Fire up the Adobe Reader and enjoy!

Dyno Run, HEMI Style

4 02 2010

Check out this video we ran across of a Jet module equipped Hemi Ram on the dyno. It starts off with a Chaplin-esque silent segment, but once the drums start rolling, the sound comes up to let you experience the magnificence of the Hemi holler!

Jet Fuel for Your 2010 Camaro

8 01 2010

Prepare for Take Off

The power mongers at Jet are once again ahead of the curve and have already launched the Jet Performance Module for the 2010 Camaro. Basically, this bad boy—part number Jet 11008S—wrings out all the power from any 6.2L V8 Bowtie, so that means it fits the 2010 Chevy Corvette and the 2009 Pontiac G8, too. Hang on tight!

Jeepers! More Jet-Powered Jeep Owner Reviews

19 11 2009

Dustin D. – 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee (Sterling, VA)
“really does work dont know if it saves in gas but it does add some hp. Only thing i dont like is you have to use a higher grade of gas to feel the difference, but overall i love the product and its even better paired up with the k&n intake.”

Maciej S. – 2005 Jeep Liberty (Dammeron Valley, UT)
“Best performance upgrade for my Jeep Liberty. Great value, extremely easy to install.”

SRT8 Powered Jeeps Sound Mean!

20 12 2008

I’ve always been a fan of Jeeps. I don’t care what say; sure, some of them are unreliable and sometimes they’re a little overpriced for what you get, but when they work, they are a thing of beauty. Whether you’re rock crawling or running the drag strip, Jeeps know how to get places fast. The SRT-8 Jeep Cherokees are good proof; 0-60 in five seconds running a quarter mile in 14′s. I don’t care how you slice it, that’s quick! Here’s a short vid of an SRT-8 Cherokee with an intake and Jet Chip module set to stage 2.

Sky High Jet PCM Reviews

22 11 2008

Jeffrey O. – 1997 Jeep Wrangler (Knoxville,TN)

“Had already installed Airaid throttle body spacer, free flow air intake, Acel Super Coil and 8mm plug wires along with Bosch Platium Plus4 plugs which had improved preformance and gas mileage in my 97 Jeep Wrangler SE with a underpowerd, overworked 2.5 4 cylinder. In less than 15 minutes that it took to install the JetPreformance Module #90017, which is the basic chip, I could tell when I turned the switch we had hit paydirt, fired instantly, ran smoother. TEST DRIVE Got in, put it in reverse and it backed itself out of the drive, put it in drive and could tell with the first gear shift, mission accomplished. Now the Jeep drives with less effort, shifts with less strain, accellerates quicker and gets about 2 mpg better milage over what the prior upgrades had accomplished. I almost wished now that I had stepped up to the stage II chip and some where down the road may do that.”

Tracy M. – 1997 Dodge Ram (Madison,WI)

“The performance chip is everything that I read about before I purchased it. I am very happy with the results and installation was literally less than 5 minutes! Thanks again!”
